Ms. Gail Rodin has been teaching at The Joseph Sears School since 2003. Ms. Rodin received her bachelor's degree in music education from DePaul University and her master's degree in music education from Western Connecticut State University. Ms. Rodin has taught middle and high school orchestras in Ridgefield, CT, Park Ridge, IL and Addison, IL. Ms. Rodin is certified with The Suzuki Association of The Americas in violin, viola, cello and bass.

Ms. Rodin has an extensive performance background, having served as first violin with The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Rodin also served as violin/viola faculty at Roosevelt University's (Betty Haag Academy) Metropolis Performing Arts Center in Arlington Heights from 2000 to 2004.

Under Ms. Rodin's leadership, The Joseph Sears School Orchestra was the only middle school orchestra invited to perform twice alongside top high school orchestra programs in Illinois at The Symphony Center in Chicago during 2009-2010. Joseph Sears musicians have also frequently received "superior" ratings in local Illinois music concerts.
