Mr. Jim Beavin joined The Joseph Sears School as the 8th Grade Science Teacher in 2013 after having taught high school biology and chemistry for 14 years. Mr. Beavin, who was inspired into education through leading youth in mission work, earned his bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his master's degree in Teaching and Learning from DePaul University. Mr. Beavin also holds a master's degree in Educational Administration. When he is not advancing the Joseph Sears science curriculum or leading the Joseph Sears Science Olympiad Team, Mr. Beavin enjoys outings with his wife, two young children and extended family. He also relishes opportunities to attend Wisconsin Badger football games in the fall.
