Caring Parent Community
Caring Parent Community
We are excited to introduce the Caring Parent Community* as a new addition to the JSSPVA. The Caring Parent Community is here to create a welcoming space for all families. Though expanded parent education programs and offering a variety of opportunities to engage with other parents such as morning coffees, book clubs, evening socials, and more. Our goal is to strengthen connections, build a supportive community for parents and kids alike, and make the journey of parenting a little easier—and a lot less isolating!
The JSSPVA is working diligently to continue aligning with our school’s initiatives on teaching the values of the four cornerstones to our children -Responsibility, Kindness, Honesty, and Respect all culminating in the Portrait of a Sears Graduate which celebrates qualities like being a Fearless Learner, Creative Thinker, Courageous Advocate, and Compassionate Citizen. While our amazing teachers nurture these traits at school, parents are key to supporting them at home.
Additionally, in the spirit of “All Students, Our Students,” it is essential to the well-being of current or future students and families alike to feel connected within our community regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. We’re all in this together!
