Basketball is offered to seventh and eighth-grade girls. Tryouts are generally held during the last week of October, prior to the first practice of the season. Tryouts will take place to determine which team each participant will be a part of. Both seventh and eighth graders will be on the blue team. All participants will be a part of a team; no player will be cut due to skill level.

Practices and games will take place after school, Monday-Friday. Practices are mandatory, and playing time may be compromised if a player does not consistently attend practices and games. The season takes place in the winter, starting in February and ending the week before Spring Break. Players will be required to attend the Spring Athletic Ceremony upon the conclusion of the season.
 

Equipment

All participant will be required to attend practices in athletic attire and provide their own gym shoes. A jersey and shorts will be provided by the school for games. Uniforms must be returned to the school at the conclusion of the season. Student athletes who do not return uniforms will be assessed a replacement fee.
